Angel Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Cake Flour
  • 1 1/2 Cup Powdered Sugar
  • 1 1/2 c Egg whites
  • 1 1/2 tsp Cream of tartar
  • 1/3 tsp Salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp Vanilla vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp Almond extract
  • 1 Cup Granulated Sugar

Instructions

  1. Sift together flour and powdered sugar 3 times.
  2. Beat Egg whites until foamy.
  3. Add Salt and cream of tartar.
  4. Gradually beat in granulated sugar until stiff.
  5. With flat egg beater fold in powdered sugar/flour then vanilla and almond flavorings.
  6. Put in spring pan and place in โ€œcoldโ€ oven.
  7. Bring to 350 degrees and bake about 35 minutes.
  8. Frost with favorite icing.
